Option 1: start from a store template

Create your website from one of the templates built as an online store. Your new website comes with:

  1. The template's products (edit them, or replace them with your own)
  2. It's shipping zones, methods and rates
  3. It's currency
  4. The store already switched on

Payments always start fresh, for your safety. A new website begins in Sandbox (test) mode with only Offline payments switched on. PayPal is never copied from a template: you connect your own PayPal account (see Store settings).

You can try any template before creating a website from it. Orders placed while you're trying a template are pretend orders: nothing is saved, charged or emailed.

Option 2: Drop a product block to your website

Add a Product block to any page, or insert a pre-made section that contains one. As soon as it lands on the page:

  1. Your store is created and switched on
  2. STORE appears in the website menu (click Edit Website in the top bar)
  3. The block shows a Sample Product until you choose one of yours

The sample shows how the block will look, but it can't be bought: its button is greyed out (disabled), and it is not shown on your published site.

Create your products in Store → Products, then choose one in the block's settings (see The Product block).
